Shakti Pumps (I) Ltd has launched a multi-state, city roadshow to educate farmers on what precisely they require when it comes to pumps. Christened as 'Know Your Needs' the campaign is born out of a consumer insight which reveals that many farmers are buying pumps blindfold.
This means that often they don't buy pumps of the right capacity or they go wrong in the choice of ancillaries. The net result of all this is frequent downtime which not only results in additional expenditure but also reduced yield and lower realizations. This in turn pushes farmers into a vicious debt cycle in order to keep replenishing their pumps and allied parts.
This awareness campaign will see Shakti Pumps executives travelling along with dealers to various parts of the country educating farmers on what exactly they require from a pump in terms of configuration, ancillary parts and planned maintenance.
